David and his family welcome you to Fenland Dog Park at Long Sutton. The purpose-built paddock is situated on the edge of our family farm, where we grow food for the supermarkets and processors, including potatoes, wheat, peas, sugar beet and mustard. The family have been farming in The Fens for over 200 years and have seen many changes along the way. Fenland Dog Park was created to meet a growing demand by dog owners for a safe, secure and fun area, and offers some farm diversification.

Farming sustainably with the environment is very important to us; looking after our soil, the wildlife and the environment. We have invested in reservoirs, storing excess winter water to use in the summer, helping the crops and wildlife in the warmer and dryer months. We have installed a wind turbine and have solar panels on our farm building roof’s, making us 70% self sufficient of our energy needs.

Fenland Dog Park is carbon neutral. The enclosed 4 acre paddock is surrounded by 5 acres of grass with wild flowers and recently planted trees, all sequesting carbon, every day, every year. This offsets the initial investment in metal fencing and the minimal amount of carbon used to maintain the site. Much of the dog agility equipment and the shelter is made from repurposed redundant parts.

Dogs have always been an important part in our family lives. We would love you to book a visit, and please share your comments and photos on our social media @fenlanddogpark and tag us in your photos #fenlanddogpark.
